Hiking Patagonia is a dream for many outdoor enthusiasts and adventurers. Known for its breathtaking landscapes, rugged mountains, and pristine wilderness, this South American region has always been a sought-after destination. Join us as we explore what’s new in Patagonia this year and how these changes will impact your hiking adventure.

New Premium Camping

Discover a new level of comfort and privacy with the introduction of premium camping spaces, perfect for those seeking an alternative to communal dormitories. Sleep soundly in a private tent, elevated 1.6 meters above the ground to ensure warmth and comfort throughout the night.

Additionally, Refugio Chileno has discontinued its dormitory option, making premium camping the sole accommodation available in that area.

Economical Bus Service: Puerto Natales to Hotel Lago Grey

There is now a bus that will go to Hotel Lago Grey from Puerto Natales! This budget-friendly option allows you to reach the western end of Torres del Paine National Park without the cost of a private transport. Although, note the bus option will add an extra 2 hours to your journey. Your choice between bus ride or private transport will depend on your budget, schedule, and travel preferences.

Holidays at Hotel Las Torres

Patagonia’s peak season is November to March and is especially busy around Christmas and New Year. As a result, Hotel Las Torres only books “All Inclusive” packages between December 20th and January 4th. Included in this premium bundle are 4 nights at Hotel Las Torres, all-inclusive dining, guided hikes throughout the park, open bar, and a catamaran crossing over the lake.

Convenient Porter Service

After your trek, take advantage of a convenient porter service for a nominal fee, allowing you to have your bags transported to Puerto Natales. This service is ideal for weary hikers who want to avoid the hassle of carrying heavy bags after their trek.

Lago Pehoé Catamaran

Scenic journeys across Lago Pehoé begin in Pudeto and conclude in Paine Grande. The catamaran schedule varies throughout the year, so be sure to check out this schedule when planning your trip.
